Let Us Introduce Ourselves…
Welcome to our blog! Here, you will find the latest reviews and updates on your favorite USA Network TV shows.
Our goal is to bring you up-to-date reviews on a weekly basis, while also posting any updates about these shows. Currently, we plan to cover the following: Psych, Burn Notice, White Collar, In Plain Sight, and Royal Pains. We will also bring you updates on new shows that are coming to USA Network.
There are three of us who will be working on this blog; Jenna, Kristi, and Suzanne. We are HUGE fans of USA Network, and more specifically are Super Psych-Os. What is a Super Psych-O you might ask? A Psych-O is someone who is a big fan of the USA Network TV show ‘Psych’. But a Super Psych-O has the following definition, so thoughtfully explained by Jenna:
“A Super Psych-O is such a big fan of Psych that those who work for the show and run the Twitters know who you are and regularly reply to your tweets on Twitter. These pages include the Official Psych Twitters, Psych_USA, PsychWrites, and Psych_Lassie, the latter of which is run by Timothy Omundson himself. They also include the personal accounts of former assistant to Steve Franks (the creator of Psych) Jason Berger, or the current assistant Brittany Hilgers.”
Fortunately, all three of us fit that category. :)
But before you run off screaming, thinking this blog will be nothing but Psych, I can assure you that it will not. We are big fans of all shows on USA Network with the exception of WWE Raw and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. No offence to anyone who enjoys these particular shows, but they just aren’t our cup-o-tea. We will be covering all shows with the same amount of care. Whether you are a Psych-o, a Burner, a Collar, or a fan of one of the other USA Network shows (for lack of fan nick-names for those shows), don’t worry-- you will get your fix.
Lets get on with our introductions…
Lets start with Jenna. We're going to brag on her a bit. First off, back in November, she was awarded ‘Psych Twitter Fan of the Year’ by Jason Berger. As mentioned earlier, he used to be Steve Franks’ assistant, but has since moved on to bigger and better things for himself. We miss him dearly but we are all actually very proud of him for his accomplishments. We wish him the best as he moves forward in his career. Jenna certainly earned her title, and continues to maintain it by buffing her virtual plaque often. And the giant cherry on top? (This cherry pretty much fills the whole bowl.) A few months ago, Jenna applied to become the Psych Fan of the Week and asked the Administrator on the USA Message Boards to put in a good name for her. The Admin replied that he would arrange for her to be the last fan posted for the season so she could be featured all summer. Jenna became Psych Fan of the Week a couple weeks ago, and her entry is still on the main page of the official Psych site! You can read her entry here, and learn of her other accomplishments. One of those accomplishments? Meeting James Roday TWICE in one week when she went to see Extinction in NYC, and getting THREE hugs from him!
And so you can get to know who she is besides a crazy fan, Jenna is a native of New Jersey but now lives in Georgia. She is in her second year at the University of Georgia and is majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. In other words, she is learning how to become a speech therapist. During the school year, schoolwork may cut into her duties to run the blog but she will try her best to update in a timely manner. When May rolls around, she'll be free as a bird. ;)
Next, we have Kristi. As former music teacher, she enjoys singing and playing her flute and piccolo. She is married to a musician, and majored in music education in college. She also enjoys writing. She has written fan fiction stories about several TV shows, including SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Supernatural, and is currently working on one for Psych. She enjoys creating graphics for said programs as well. She also hopes to become an actress and to write some original fiction and novels someday. We believe she could be a triple (or even quadruple?) threat one day. She is very honored to have recently been wished a ‘happy birthday’ by @Psych_Lassie (Timothy Omundson) on twitter, and hopes to one day be able to thank him in person, as well as meet each member of the cast of Psych.
Suzanne wanted to leave herself for last because she believes she is "a bit boring. Ok… a LOT boring." Hopefully we can prove her wrong when we see some of her posts, yes? :) “I'm unemployed, bored out of my mind, and pretty much spend most of my time on Twitter.” Not that that is a terrible thing. It certainly helps her get much needed info that will help her while writing for this blog. She also has a few accomplishments she is proud of. These include a bit of freelance article work for various magazines, websites and newspapers. Like Kristi, she also writes fan fiction, but writes Psych fan fiction exclusively on Psychfic.com. She is also quite proud of the replies she’s gotten from many official USA Network Twitter pages. But you already knew that. “Unfortunately, Kristi and I both agree that we will never be as cool as Jenna in the fandom world. Ok… Maybe not in the real world either. But we have fun, and that’s what counts, right? ;)” Fun is always the main thing. Agreed?
What reviews can you expect from each of us? Well, we’ll likely have to fight over who gets to write Psych reviews. Haha! Just kidding. We would never do that. We plan to pass the torch week to week on Psych information/reviews. As for what each of us will do individually, Jenna will head most everything for ‘In Plain Sight’ and when it premieres, she will write about 'Covert Affairs' as well. Kristi will take the lead on ‘White Collar’ and ‘Royal Pains‘, and Suzanne will be helming ‘Burn Notice’, and when it premieres, she will also take on ‘Facing Kate’. We will provide info on Covert Affairs and Facing Kate before they premiere. So don’t worry. You will be informed beforehand. We will all be signing our posts in order to let you know who wrote what.
So in conclusion, I’d just like to leave you with this.
Ok. If you are a Psych Twitter fan, you totally saw that coming right? If you aren’t, oh well. You’ll figure it out eventually. I promise. In fact, there may be a blog entry in the near future that explains why that video is hilarious to all us Psych-Os on Twitter. Or maybe it just annoys you. If so, I apologize. I cannot, however, apologize on behalf of Jason Berger who started all of this. Nor do I think he ever plans to apologize for himself, and I personally do not blame him.
Okay, okay. I’ll end this incessant rambling now. But I certainly can’t leave without providing you with some contact information. :)
